Mission Statement:
“Loyola Marymount University offers rigorous undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs to academically ambitious students committed to lives of meaning and purpose. We benefit from our location in Los Angeles, a dynamic city that brings into sharp focus the issues of our time and provides an ideal context for study, research, creative work, and active engagement. By intention and philosophy, we invite persons diverse in talents, interests, and cultural backgrounds to enrich our educational community and advance our mission:

  • The encouragement of learning
  • The education of the whole person
  • The service of faith and the promotion of justice

The University is institutionally committed to Roman Catholicism and takes its fundamental inspiration from the combined heritage of the Jesuits, the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange. This Catholic identity and religious heritage distinguish LMU from other universities and provide touchstones for understanding our threefold mission.”

Prayer Request:
1) Please pray for the Christians who attend this school. Pray that they are not
     lulled asleep by being in a “Christian Bubble”.
2) As the long summer break continues please pray for the Christian students,
     staff, faculty, and administration, that they will come back to campus
     in the Fall revived.
3) Please pray that God will send a student awakening to the campuses of higher
     education all across our country.
4) Please pray that the Holy Spirit will convict people on campus of sin.
5) Jesus said in Luke 10.2 “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;
     therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
